Pole-mount POD solar injection pump packages.

Inspired specifically for the retrofit Market, MCI’s pod series injection solutions are designed to be added virtually anywhere. The pole-mount POD series mounts directly to square or round pipe for simple and fast installations every time. Packages are CSA certified for use in CLASS 1 DIV. 2 Groups A,B,C,D (US/CAN) locations.

The standard power package is designed for northern Canada. However there are two important considerations in determining how your solar powered equipment will operate throughout the winter:

Flexible Design.

To ensure optimal solar charging capability year round the pole-mount skid solution can be positioned anywhere from flat to full vertical with true 360 degree rotation independent of the pump and enclosures fixed positions.

No shortcuts.

In an effort to make our skid packages even more user friendly we have wired all the components back to the battery enclosure. Additionally we have included all the battery interconnect wiring with the wiring terminal ends installed. Using the supplied colour photograph for reference the installer can wire the power supply in minutes.

Many installations require a pressure relief valve (PRV). We can have one set, tagged and tubed onto the package. PRV’s are available with various seal materials including either EPDM or Viton as standard or Kalrez as an upgrade.

Debris in the storage tank can enter the suction line and collect at the suction bushing seat. This can interfere with the suction ball causing “circulation” in the sight glass and, ultimately, damage the O-ring seal. To guard against debris reaching the fluid end MCI has optional 500 micron strainers available.

Built to ship.

The Standard skid was designed to ride in a pickup truck bed. The folding mast/ boom positions the solar array flat and low on top of the skid. At site simply raise the mast and bolt the boom in place.

Our flexible pre-engineered multi pump packages are available standard in 1-5 pump layout configurations. A powder coated steel frame accommodates floor, piling or wall mounting.

All of MCI’s current pump models are supported in the package design. Let us know how many injection points are required, your target injection volume(s)/ discharge pressure(s) and let MCI do the rest. We will work with you to provide the optimal System configuration and provide custom tailored skid solutions to you in as little as a few days.

Pre-Wired Convenience.

A pre-wired common power supply tie-in point (Nema 3R Steel Enclosure) eliminates pump interconnect wiring in the field and is conveniently available in 12 VDC, 24 VDC, or 120 VAC supply voltages.

Connect and go.

Complete chemical supply manifold are always included. Only one supply connection is required on site (1/2 Tube), this allows complex multi-pump solutions to be commissioned in hours, not days. Self closing valves, process isolation valves and MCI’s exclusive FlexView (Glass Free) rate gauges are pre-installed to help speed up the commissioning process.

When the chemical program calls for injection rates of 1 or 2 litres per day the 100 Gallon (450 litre) skid package is exactly what you need.

Stainless steel valves and fittings isolate the 3′ rate gauge. Chemical travels to the pump in stainless steel braided, Teflon lined hoses. 160 Watt solar panels are wired for 24V DC and charge 120AHr absorbed glass mat (AGM) batteries through a 24V/ 16A charge controller. All the power components are fuse coordinated for electrical protection.

All kits are field retrofittable without the need to undo fittings or remove the valve from service, or can be added to any skid package at time of order.
